Amarji’s best year yet at RWM

RWM 2026

We’ve just come back from RWM 2026, and we can safely say it was our best one yet.

Held at the NEC Birmingham on 16 and 17 September, this year’s Resource & Waste Management Expo gave us two packed days of conversations with existing clients, new businesses and plenty of people keen to talk data. We exhibited alongside VWS Software Solutions, which was a particularly good fit given how PurGo and our dashboards work together, but what really made the show for us was getting back in the room with people and showing them what we’ve been building.

You can only explain so much over a screen. At RWM, we could sit down with clients, walk them through new work in progress and talk about how we’re applying AI agents to real client data. Being able to show something rather than describe it changed the conversation. People could ask questions, dig into the details, and start thinking about where it could take their own business.

That worked particularly well alongside VWS. PurGo already sits at the heart of day-to-day operations for many waste businesses, while our dashboards turn that operational data into something decision-makers can actually use. From lifts and tipping information through to gross profit and operational costs, visitors could see how the two pieces fit together and, more importantly, what becomes possible when that data is brought into the bigger picture.

And then there were the new conversations. We had the pleasure of meeting businesses we hadn’t worked with before, particularly across the waste and skip sector, and a surprisingly common question came up: what should we actually be doing with all this data?

For some businesses, the conversation around data was being created from scratch, with several telling us they’d never really looked at their own numbers. That gave us a chance to start with the basics, look at what they already had, and see where better measurement could start to make a difference.

As Harley Webster, Director at Amarji, put it:

“We’ve made people realise that they need to be able to measure things and baseline them, so they can then focus on growing their business and reaching their goals.”

That’s what made this year’s RWM particularly exciting for us. We came away with stronger relationships with existing clients, plenty of new conversations to follow up and a lot of ideas about where we can take our work next.
